International Judges Conference in Denmark

We will soon be ready to send out the invitations for the International HTM/Freestyle Judges Conference in Denmark on 12th – 14th April 2013 in the Danish Kennel Club Building, Parkvej 1, 2680 Solrød Strand, Denmark.

Programme:

Friday 12th April:
16.00 – Welcome to Denmark
16.45 – Dinner
18.00 – Lecture by Lesley Neville on ‘Musical Interpretation in HTM and Freestyle’. Lesley Neville is a member of the Top Lodge Dancing Dogs and is competing in HTM and Freestyle on advanced level in England.
21.00 – Goodnight

Saturday 13th April:
10.00 – A representative from each country presents the country’s HTM and Freestyle rules. Debate, so we can be inspired by and learn from each other.
12.00 – Lunch
13.00 – Dog Dancers will perform for us live. We will judge the routines and discuss our judging to learn from each other.
15.00 – Lecture by Behaviourist Karen Strandbygaard Ulrich on ‘Calming Signals’.
18.00 – Dinner
19.30 – Debate following Karen Strandbygaard Ulrich’s lecture. Thoughts on how it will affect the way we judge?
21.00 – Goodnight

Sunday 14th April:
9.00 – Lecture by Vet, Dog & Horse Chiropractor and Animal Acupuncturist Charlotte Frigast about health and safety in our sport.
13.00 – Lunch, closing and conclusion – evaluation of the weekend.
14.00 – Goodbye and thank you! Safe journey home!

The Zleep hotels are not posh 5* hotels, but they are good and cheap and it is very easy to get them from the airport and from the hotels to the Kennel Club building.

Zleep Hotel Copenhagen C is 12 minutes by S-Train from the airport and 2 minutes walking time from Main Railway Station in Copenhagen (København H), from which you can get to the Kennel Club building by S-Train in 20 minutes.

Zleep Hotel Astoria. 12 minutes by train from the airport and right next to the Main Railway Station in Copenhagen, from which you can get to the Kennel Club building by S-Train in 20 minutes.

Zleep Hotel in Ishøj. The hotel is in the same building as the S-Train station and train E towards Køge will take you directly to Jersie, where you can see the Kennel Club building from the station. It takes 10 minutes by train to get from the hotel from the Kennel Club. It is also very easy to get from Copenhagen Airport to Zleep Ishøj. There is a train going directly from the Airport to Copenhagen Main Station (København H). From there you get on train E towards Køge and get off in Ishøj.
